This week we are featuring Mantels & Tablescapes

and your hostess is
Kathe from
Kathe With An E

Hi friends!
This week I am sharing our
Christmas mantel & tablescape decor

This year, I went with a predominate red & white
theme in the dining room.

I started the table with a plain white table cloth.
I made the runner using red & white polka dotted
wrapping paper I bought, on sale, from Hobby lobby.

I used a simple red charger and
layered a white thrift store Johnson's Bros dinner plate
and topped it off with a fun polka dotted
square salad plate, bought on clearance,
from Hobby Lobby.

(Love how they match the wrapping paper perfectly!)

Bright red napkins were folded to mimic
the Santa hats on each chair
and I simply added a cotton ball at the top.
I then placed the flatware in each napkin.

The snowflake stems came from Dollar Tree several years ago.

The little snowflake votives are from Yankee Candle.

For the centerpiece I used some
icy candle sticks from Kohl's,
added some epsom salts for snow,
and topped them off with a
polka dotted ornament.

I also used my favorite mirror, added some red glittered ribbon to white
candles and placed them all in the center of the table.

The mantle in the living room is more traditional.
Mr. B is in charge of the tree decor in this room
and he likes a warm comfy feel.

The mantel set up didn't change much
from last year's decor.

One thing I did add was the banner I made.
Christmas mantel
I started with some burlap looking scrapbooking paper,
clear snowflakes from the Dollar Tree,
gold paper doilies from Michael's, a scalloped circle punch,
glitter and ribbon.

I wound up not using the hole punch, the gold rope
or the gold glitter LOL.
Every have that happen?
You start with one thing in mind but,
once you get started it all changes?

I printed out my letters in a fun font,
watered down some glue,
painted on the glue to my letters
and covered them in glitter.

I started with gold glitter and realized it wouldn't show up very well
so, I switched to red glitter.

After cutting the doilies to size,
I hot glued all of the pieces together
and hot glued them to the ribbon.
I also glued a piece of rick rack to the back of the ribbon
in order to hang the banner, using Command hooks.

Even Mr. B was pleased at how it really added
that extra something to our mantel!

Hi Kathy!
Thank you for hosting this party!
I have decided to link up our traditional table cener piece in Croatia – Advent Corolla. It has 4 candles – symbols for 4 Sundays prior to Christmas. At every Sunday dinner, family lights up candles; this last sunday we have light first candle, next Sunday two etc… These candles are put out not by blowing but with piece of bread dipped in wine, usually done by the youngest in the house.
I hope you will like it!

A aback book created for MS Barter server is actual advantageous in the affairs of abstracts accident and corruption. We can calmly restore our databases from advancement file. But if the advancement book is clumsy to be opened or besmirched again apology of abstracts can't be done. That time a third affair database backup apparatus for Barter Server BKF Recovery will be the best band-aid for us. By employing this apparatus we can calmly balance our files such as STM, EDB and LOG files from base advancement file.
